Son of Adam Weaver Golladay and Elizabeth Fulwider


William was twenty years old and not married when he enlisted on 07 June 1861 at Terra Haute, Indiana. He was 6' 1" in height with light complexion, blue eyes, and light red hair.

On 29 October 1862, William was given a medical discharge at Harper's Ferry, West Virginia for disability because of chronic diarrhea, as well as kidney and liver disease.

William married Mary Elizabeth Driscoll on 16 July 1864 in Boone County, Indiana. They moved to Sangamon County, Illinois by 1866 They were living in Christian County, Illinois when Mary died in 1878. After her death, William was married Amanda Alice Dorman in Taylorville, Illinois on 05 June 1879. She died in the spring of 1889.

William got quickly remarried to Sarah Elizabeth Bates Spangle on 03 July1889.

On 09 May 1881, he filed for an Invalid Pension and was living in Illinois. He was 62 years old when died on 24 September 1903 in Athens.
